The Extended Version
I am a recent graduate of the University of California, San Diego. I majored in art, but more specifically, art that deals with technological themes, or employs modern technologies as its medium. I minored in Japanese Studies. I am currently working as a web developer and designer, as well as a general graphical materials producer for a software company in San Diego.
My skill set includes (x)HTML, PHP, ASP, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript (2 & 3), XML, SQL and some experience in Java and JSP. I am proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, and have a good handle on the Japanese language.
Personality-wise, I'm usually pretty shy and quiet in public. But on the other hand, I can be very talkative and boisterous around my friends. I find that I'm a more serious person than others in my generation. I don't really like being spontaneous; I prefer things planned out, to a reasonable extent. And that probably makes me sound pretty rigid, yet I'm constantly sarcastic and joking (around people I'm comfortable with, anyway).
I like animation of all sorts, but prefer Japanese animation in particular for a couple of reasons. If you look past the hyper-commercialized titles like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, you can find anime with deep and engaging stories, artistic animation, beautiful music and superb voice acting. My favorite anime, in no particular order are: Revolutionary Girl Utena, Vision of Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Get Backers, Azumanga Daioh, Honey & Clover and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu.
