The Winamp Skin Hall of Unmentionables

And now, for your amusement and mine, I thought I might share a few extras from my time as a Winamp skinner.

The very first Winamp skin I attempted to make... no longer exists. I had no idea what I was doing and I'm pretty sure I deleted it (maybe if I wanna hook up my old computer some day and search around, it might still be there...). But, the first completed skin I made is this one right here:

I wonder if anyone out there has a copy of this ^^;... It was made available online, back when my site was on... AOL Hometown. It was also made in Corel Photo Paint, which doesn't use layers (perhaps more modern versions do, but mine didn't), so like all of the early comp art I made in that program, 'twas very laborious.

And the other scrap we (I) have is a failed Samurai Champloo skin:

The image came from a screen capture of the ukiyoe style character art shown at the end of each episode. The colors simply weren't going well together, and I learned a good lesson about being selective with your images ("garbage in, garbage out").

This was abandoned when I decided that a Wii-themed Modern skin was a better idea. I know some people are pretty staunch against Modern skins though, so if anyone were to request this one to be finished, I might be persuaded.
